May to September is the most optimal and balanced period to visit all three destinations offering mostly comfortable weather across all locations, excellent wildlife viewing, manageable crowds, and the most versatility for activities. However, all destinations are accessible throughout the year and there is no bad time to go.
From February to April, you’ll witness Victoria Falls at its most dramatic, but it is important to note that both the Kruger and Zambezi National Park’s wildlife viewing is less reliable due to the lush seasonal vegetation and dispersed wildlife. Also, at this time when the falls are at their most dramatic, the heavy spray limits ground-level photography within the Rain Forest.
A visit to Africa is so much more than just a bush safari. Let us help you plan a journey that opens your senses to history, adventure, and culture too.
